【Hotel Report】Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo Otemachi - Studio Room
The Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi is the second "Four Seasons Hotels" hotel to open in Tokyo, and is a sophisticated luxury hotel in terms of both environment and cuisine. For our anniversary, we stayed in a studio room with a great view of the city. We will introduce a course dinner at Est and breakfast at Pigneto.

2. check-in
The building is directly connected to Tokyo Otemachi Station via exit C4/C5 underground for easy access. In the past, most of the time we had to take a cab because of carrying large suitcases, but Otemachi Station has many elevators and escalators, which makes transportation more comfortable.
We arrived at the entrance on the 1st floor. When I gave my name, I was instantly shown to the lobby floor on the 39th floor where I was able to check in my luggage. It seemed that they remembered us from our last stay, and the speedy yet heartwarming hospitality is a hallmark of the Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi.
As you step down to the front desk, a beautiful water basin with a reflection of the blue sky spreads out before you. The environment is aptly described as an "urban oasis," and you are instantly drawn into the sophisticated worldview of the Four Seasons. Each time you stay at the hotel, the contrast with the sky is different, making it an iconic presence that you will never get tired of no matter how many times you see it.
Next you will see The Lounge, famous for its afternoon tea. The lounge is famous for its afternoon tea. The wonderful view of the Tokyo skyline and its elegant and stylish design will make you feel like staying at a hotel where you can enjoy an extraordinary experience.
As one enters the reception area, one is struck by the vivid floral arrangements. The floral design is by zero two THREE, led by floral designer Namako Kajitani, who has designed flowers for high-brand events in Japan and abroad. The beautiful designs, which change with the seasons, are sure to soothe the soul.
Despite the impression that the museum has been featured on social networking sites, the age range is not low and the atmosphere is relaxed. I feel that the age range has been gradually increasing since its opening. If you are tired of or don't like the glitz and glamour of Marriott's top hotels, the Four Seasons Hotel is for you.
After checking in at the reception, we went to the Studio Room where we will be staying. Rooms at the Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi vary in size, but the Studio Room is one of the few rooms that are limited to corner rooms and city views. We also recommend the Deluxe with a view of the Imperial Palace, Four Seasons Suite, and Executive Suite.
Roome Category | Room Type | Size | Hotel Reports |
---|---|---|---|
Suite | Imperial Suite | 283㎡ | |

| Panoramic Suite | 100㎡ | |

3. guest rooms - studio room
We had our luggage delivered in advance and were assigned to a corner room on the 36th floor. The guest room floor has a modern design in dark tones with indirect lighting. We entered the room with a sense of calmness and a wonderful color scheme that made our hearts flutter.
3-1. living room / bedroom
Upon entering the room, you will see a spacious entrance, as if it were a suite, and an inviting approach with the living room leading to the back of the room. Continuing down the passageway, you will find a restroom and bathroom on the right, a walk-in closet on the left, and the living room in front of the room.
Let's start with the living room. The living room is centered around the bed, with a large window framing two sides of the Tokyo cityscape, creating a sense of openness. The panoramic view toward Otemachi and Asakusa, with a view of the Tokyo Sky Tree, is as attractive as a suite.
The rooms are decorated in chic earth tones, with bedboards, rug mats, and lighting creating an elegant effect, and it is no wonder they are so popular on social networking sites.
The dining table in the corner of the room allows you to enjoy the futuristic buildings of Tokyo's Otemachi district and the Sky Tree, the symbol of Tokyo, to your heart's content. The "Happy Birthday" and "Welcome back" painted casually on the window was also a very pleasant touch.
We immediately toasted with the sparkling wine we brought with us. At the Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi, rooms on the lower floors with a view of the Imperial Palace Gyoen do not have a very good view (there is a building right in front of you), but you can enjoy your drink in the Studio Room without worrying at all.
As for the utilities, you can also feel the ingenuity for comfort. There are power outlets and USB ports not only at the bedside but also on the board by the TV, so you can work at the dining table by the window. The only thing that would have been nice is to have two outlets each.
In addition to seasonal fruits, the welcome amenity included an original cake served at the restaurant and even a letter to commemorate my birthday. We did not inform them that it was our anniversary when we made the reservation, but this is a wonderful service that exceeded our expectations.
There is also a mini-bar in the living room, among other things, with glasses already prepared. There is no need to call and order champagne and wine glasses. There are also several coffee cartridges and original tea packets, which give the impression of being well stocked.
In the modern design, Japanese taste shines through in the teapot and other tea utensils, original hojicha and sencha teas, and tea sweets. Among the welcome amenities, the "honey nuts" are extremely tasty and excellent as a snack.
A high quality, spacious walk-in closet is another feature of Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi. While ensuring a height that accommodates long garments, the baggage racks are both fixed and movable for ease of use. The thick hangers and the texture of the top panel are also attractive.
3-2. bathroom / amenities
The bathroom is a view bath type facing the Nihonbashi direction, with a separate shower booth and bathtub. The deluxe rooms are integrated, so there may be differences in usability.
The bathtub made of matte stone is unique to Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi. It creates a sense of space and is extremely beautiful. Everything is compact and close to the washbasin, so you can keep your phone, clothes, and towels nearby.
The shower stalls are as large as those in the suites, and are equipped with simple, easy-to-understand, and well-designed faucets. Both hand and rain showers can be used without any complaints in terms of water pressure.
The bath amenity is "Eau de Magnolia" by Frederic Malle, a popular series that also sells fragrances. The fragrance has a "mysterious adult charm" with a sexy sweetness of amber, woody, and patchouli.
All basic items such as toothpaste sets, shaving sets, combs, mouthwash, etc. are provided in the drawers. The toothpaste is made of wood with sustainability in mind, and if you don't like the feeling of it in your mouth, you should take note.
The dryer is a CREATES (CREATE ION) Elemere Dry. It has a nice matte look, but it is a special model that can change the temperature in 5 levels. It costs more than 10,000 yen even when shopping online, so it is nice to be able to try it out at the hotel.
4. dinner - est
We had dinner at EST, the signature restaurant of Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi. Est is led by a renowned chef who received one star in the Michelin Guide Tokyo 2022, and offers excellent quality French cuisine with ingredients sourced from all over Japan.
Business hours: Lunch 12:00-15:00, Dinner 18:00-22:00
Location: Lobby Floor
An enchanting passageway like a study leads you into the restaurant. What unfolds there is a luxurious space with a sense of quality, unified by beige and brown colors, and furthermore, you will be fascinated by the passion of the chefs who are cooking in the open kitchen.
95% of the ingredients used at Est are from Japan. Chef Guillaume Bracaval himself visits various regions of Japan to procure fresh fish from Kyushu, citrus fruits from Wakayama, and other ingredients from Japan, which he carefully selects to create a course that perfectly blends Japanese ingredients and French cooking techniques.
We ordered a 10-course meal consisting of an aperitif, amuse bouche, appetizer, 3 main courses, cheese, 2 desserts, and mignardises. Each dish served was a beautiful work of art. The delicate and complex flavors and wine pairings seem to lead you on a new gastronomic journey.
Following the champagne, we ordered a 2011 Chassagne Montrachet Premier Cru Les Champs Gans wine. The variety of wines was very large compared to other restaurants, and the sommelier was very nice in taking our order in detail.
Since it was a birthday celebration, there was also a twist in the dessert. After the meal, we were given the hotel's original jam to take home, which made for a very satisfying dinner time that was appropriate for our anniversary.
Special dinner courses are offered depending on the season, such as Christmas, so be sure to stop by when you visit the Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi. In addition to dinner, a casual lunch on the rooftop terrace is also recommended.
5. Breakfast - Pigneto
Breakfast is served at Pigneto (PIGNETO), located by the lobby lounge. This casual dining restaurant with terrace and counter seating with a view of the Imperial Palace gardens is highly recommended for its high quality in both atmosphere creation and food.
Hours: breakfast 7:00-10:30, lunch 11:30-14:30, tea time 14:30-17:00, dinner 17:00-21:30
Location: Lobby Floor
The restaurant is decorated with beautiful wooden tables, modern taste interior, and stylish background music. With a panoramic view of the city center spread out before your eyes, you can enjoy the restaurant's theme, "Abbondanza (Rich Life).
There is a wide variety of breakfast sets to choose from: Continental, American, Vegan, Healthy, Asian, and Japanese breakfast. The American, the most hearty, allows you to order an appetizer plus a main dish from a selection of egg dishes, waffles, toast, steak, and salad.
Here is a salad with prosciutto and poached egg, which can be selected as a main course. The umami aroma of black truffles, cheese and mushrooms lures the appetite.
This time, we also ordered the Japanese breakfast, which includes seasonal grilled fish, a small bowl of side dishes, rice with fruit (or rice porridge), and miso soup. Although it does not seem to be the hotel's recommended menu item, the quality is always so high that I always order the Japanese breakfast when I stay at Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi.
The breakfast was very satisfying in terms of volume, with plenty of fruit. By the way, leftover baguettes and other dishes can be wrapped in a bag if you ask the waiter, so you can take them back to your room.
6. restaurant at Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi
In addition to the restaurant we used, we also recommend Vertu, a bar where you can enjoy unique signature cocktails. Vertu is also introduced in this stay report, along with a link to its reservation site.

7. check out
I went to the front desk to enjoy the last-minute late checkout, a benefit of the Ippkyu Diamond membership. Through this stay, I was reminded once again that this is a wonderful hotel that pays close attention to the environment, food, and service. I left the hotel with the feeling that next time I would like to introduce a higher grade suite.
8. prices and packages at Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi
If you go through the reservation site, the cheapest price is the time sale at ICHIKYU, and the studio room we stayed in this time starts from 127,000 yen.
As a Ikyu Diamond member, you also enjoy attractive benefits such as hotel credit, late-out and free parking.
For reference, this is how other reservation sites compare prices.
*Prices may vary depending on the time of year you stay.
